A Home Office with Class
Since you enjoyed a glimpse into my home office, I thought I would share that the Raving Fashionista, Sarah Gleeson and her awesome workspace is featured on Shape What’s To Come today.
I am in love with my new shirt from Levi’s. The shape is billowy and it’s soft- but I am in complete love with the pattern. It’s in stores right now, not online quite yet!
This is why I was Glee before Glee was Glee. Because in college I sang duets with myself. Excuse my lack of solo choreography. circa 2006
Really enjoying the photos from Glastonbury- I think I need to plan my trip there for next year. Check out Mister Newton’s photos for Harper’s Bazaar… I spy Shape What’s To Come ambassador Kristin Knox in picture 9. My wellies are already packed. photo source: Harper’s Bazaar
Read the Sign
Yesterday at the Plaza I noticed this new sign for our Lobby Store. I have been spending a lot of time in the store lately because the SemiAnnual Sale is going on. Visit the Levi’s website to enjoy up to 75% off and another 30% with code EXTRA30.
Katie & Sam completed an incredible journey across the United States. To learn more about their adventure and the obstacles they had to overcome, visit Shape What’s To Come.
Climb Every Mountain
Huge congrats to Sana, who won Shape What’s To Come’s last Thought Collage where we asked Twittererererers about a challenge they have conquered. Sana has an awesome super blog, Super Sana, about living healthy and recovering from a spine injury. original photo source
The Finish Line
After 7 days and 16 hours of cycling, Katie and Sam crossed the finish line after their Ride Across America. To learn more about their ride visit Shape What’s To Come.
Strike a Pose
This is our Social Media intern Vivian. I had to snap this photo on my phone to upload to the Levi’s Pose, a photo-sharing application on iPhone for fashionistas. Viv took her dad’s old 501’s and made them summer-ready. Don’t you just love the big necklace?
It’s the little victories that keep me going. A while back I made a decision to start saving money, but I realized I couldn’t save money until I eliminated unneccessary bills. So I have committed to paying off my credit cards, which means some sacrifices here and there. Over the weekend I got to cut up two of my cards, having paid them off completely. Seeing this progress and...

My Impossible Reality
What is one thing I have accomplished that I never thought I could do? One would think that I would say “winning The Levi’s Girl contest”, but I knew when I was making the video that I would win. I might be psychic bc I’m not usually very confident. The only time I faced a task with fear and complete disbelief that I could do it, was in 2008 when I needed to loose...
I have been working from home more often- finding it easier to write at home and taking advantage of PhotoShop. It’s no secret that I have minimalistic taste when decorating, especially my workspace- I like to keep my mind clear of clutter. I did want to hang some pictures at my workspace to keep inspiration high and to add a little color. I purchased some baker’s twine and wrapped...
Katie & Sam are riding their bikes across America. You can Tweet them a cheer with #Ride4Water so Levi’s can donate $1 to clean drinking water. Follow their ride with Shape What’s To Come.
Just a song that has been stuck in my head for weeks and man who always makes me smile.
I was Glee before Glee was Glee
Found this photo yesterday from the night Rent came out on DVD (at midnight). I just started watching Glee and realized that one of the writers probably went to my high school and followed me around.
Tweet a Cheer!
Katie & Sam are now on day 4 of their Ride Across America. They need your motivation more than ever. Tweet a cheer with #Ride4Water and Levi’s will donate $1 to clean drinking water! Follow their epic journey with Shape What’s To Come.
Congrats Elissa Rose!!
Elissa Rose, the winner of our previous Shape What’s To Come Thought Collage, has taken on an unbelievable challenge- learning to draw with her left hand. See what she has to say about the experience: I was looking for a new goal, something long-term and really difficult. What I got was a hidden ability that I didn’t know I had. It still shakes me up when I look at the...
I had two problems last week- nothing on the walls of my apartment still after three months, and nothing to lay on at the park. I was able to fix both of those problems over the weekend at the Marc Jacobs store. The entire store was checking-in on me to make sure I meant to pick up the Union Jack and not the American flag… if they only knew. It’s a sprawling haven while sunbathing,...
This is more like my Look of the Month. I can’t stop wearing these sandals- you can tell by the scuffed leather and the gnarly tan I’m rocking underneath. Since a San Francisco summer is one that I’m not quite used to (although I admittedly love sweaters all year round) I have opted for a black pedicure. So rebellious, so anti-summer.
Tweet Katie a cheer with #Ride4Water and follow her epic ride with Shape What’s To Come.
I walk past this random elevator in the lobby of Levi’s Plaza, and it finally dawned on me yesterday that I have no idea where it leads. I have my theories, most of which involve gold coins filled with chocolate or the smoke monster.

World's Oldest Levi's
Yesterday, those working at Levi’s Plaza were invited to a presentation by LS&Co historian, Lynn Downey, who showed us some amazing pieces from the archive. I was most excited to feast my eyes on the oldest pair of Levi’s. These 501’s (back then they were called XX’s) are worth more than $150,000. crikey!
Ticket to Ride
Before taking on her cross-country bike ride, Katie Spotz was the youngest person to complete a solo row across an ocean. Learn more about Katie’s ride and follow along with Shape What’s To Come.
Read the new Shaping In Action piece by Thought Collage winner, Sara Zucker, about juggling it all and staying sane.
Levi's Style at Girls Who Rock
I loved this look at Girls Who Rock over the weekend. It was 100 degreed in NYC but she was so cool in vintage Levi’s, embellished sleeves and cut-off cowboy boots.
Portrait of an Athlete as a Young Girl
Before running marathons, ultra-marathons and rowing across the Atlantic Ocean, Katie Spotz admits she was not the most remarkable athlete. She had to train her body to withstand such activity and train her mind to overcome fear and insecurity. Follow Katie break a world record and bike across the US with Shape What’s To Come.
Katie Spotz: Riding 4 Water
On June 18, Shape What’s To Come Traveling Journal contributor Katie Spotz will cycle cross country from California to Maryland with her cycling partner, Sam, and a small crew to raise money for clean drinking water. Get excited with Levi’s & Shape What’s To Come and look for inspiring words from Katie all week.
Anne Frank's Diary
Anne’s first entry in her diary on her 13th birthday.
Yesterday in 1942, a little girl received a diary on for birthday.
Happiness is Right Outside Your Window
Although a little blurry, this is the view from my bedroom window taken last night. It’s good to be home, if only for just a short time.
I have given in to the SF weather and am wearing a sweater skirt in June. Lucky for me, I am now in NYC where the temps will reach 100 degrees. Summertime!! PS- I miss my photographer :(
From the desk of The Levi's Girl
Where the magic happens- my desk at Levi’s Plaza is starting to accumulate some personal flare. It is still a far cry from the toy box/astronaut shrine that was my last office.
Dress Up with Eddy
Later this week I am attending the Girls Who Rock concert, organized with the help of Shape What’s To Come social change ambassador Tammy Tibbetts. I put together this outfit for one of the performing artists, Eddy, who loved to wear skinny jeans and flats when she performs. Check out Eddy’s video Need, the first music video filmed on an iPad2.
Boy Loves Levi's Girl
This is where my boyfriend let’s me dress him up after a day of baseball and shopping at the Levi’s Store. Work Shirt is Levis, bowtie is mine and hat is from Japan.

Rocking out for a good cause
There are over 130 million children not in school and 70% of those children are girls. Less than two cents raised for aid in developing countries goes to girls. She’s the First, a charitable organization founded by Shape What’s To Come’s Tammy Tibbets, is putting on Girls Who Rock, a concert with awesome female artists taking place in NYC on June 10. Unable to come to the...
And don’t we all deserve the same chances?
What would you say to yourself?
When Cassie Boorn was graduating from college, she asked the women in her life for words of wisdom. Although she was looking for career advice, Cassie found these women telling her what they wished they had been told in their early twenties. This inspired Cassie to start a the 20 Something Letters project where women share a letter written to their 20 year-old self. Shape What’s To Come...
