i'll walk, thanks
I usually take a long walk home from work at Levi’s Plaza. It is really nice now that the sun stays out a little longer and my evenings can be a little more eventful than they are in the winter. I have been exploring and snapping pics of San Francisco, when I can remember to do so. Don’t worry, no mirror pics.

in the mirror
Oh, no. I know what you’re thinking: not another outfit post shot in the mirror. These mirror photos are getting kind of creepy. Look on the bright side, at least you can see the appearance of furnishings in my apartment.  I wore this to work yesterday and got tons of compliments. Not only were my pants super comfy, like silk pajamas, it was so warm I wore my sandals sans the socks....

Lunch Time at Levi's Plaza
At Levi’s Plaza, we take eating very seriously. In the lobby there is the most extensive cafe I have experienced since freshman year of college. There is a salad bar, a sandwich bar, fresh fruit, a soup station and multiple selections of hot food prepared daily. I even ventured down there for a bagel and orange juice yesterday morning, bypassing the make-your-own-omlette station. Yes, I...

wrap it up
San Francisco is not as warm as I thought it was going to be. The advice people keep giving me is to wear layers. My first week at Levi’s Plaza, when the weather was wet and dreary, everyone in the office was wearing their Pendleton wraps- a Levi’s collaboration from last fall. I was jealous.  However, there is a new layering look that I have noticed at the Lobby Store in...

The Levi’s® Girl is Searching for a Blog...
As the Levi’s® Girl, I’ve packed my bags and made the move from New York to San Francisco, leaving behind one important item: my blog photographer. I’d love to work with one of the many talented photographers in the SWTC community. Not only would I like photos taken for my personal style blog, Paperplanes and Maryjanes, but we’d also be shooting style posts for the Levi’s Girl® blog! If you are...

what would you do if i sang out of tune?
This song makes me dance, this poster makes me smile. It was designed by Miguel Vazquez, a graduate of the Shillington School where I was studied graphic design before leaving New York. Shillington, which is based out of Australia, held a contest for its students to design an uplifting poster that would be sold to benefit the Western Australia State Emergency Service to aid with the aftermath...

movin' on up... to a real bed
I officially moved into my new place on Tuesday- I brought my bags and waited for my furniture to be delivered. Unfortunately, the only piece not to be delivered that day was my mattress. I built my desk, I built my bed (which was not a one person job) and then I fashioned a temporary bed out of Ikea boxes and some towels. My pillow for the evening was a (clean) laundry bag which came in...

wild west
This outfit is a little True Grit, even down to the pigtails. Now that I have immigrated to the Gold Rush town, I feel luck, punk. I just love how this top works so well with pieces I already own. So far I have worn it with a leopard mini skirt, floral harem pants and here with a chiffon maxi skirt. Perhaps I shall get another?!? Notice my sparse furnishings. I might not own a chair but at...

Levi's Vintage Shop, SF
I totally geeked-out this weekend when I discovered (not that it was hidden) the Levi’s Vintage shop at the Union Square Levi’s store in San Francisco. It is comprised of true vintage and reproduced styles exhibited so as not to reveal which is which. Having just left the museum field in New York, I was in sartorial/curatorial heaven. My favorite corner was the wall displaying...

from her head to her feet
This is Selvi, she was working at the Union Square store in San Francisco this past weekend for the Levi’s Curve ID Calling All Curves event. Even though she was wearing her event tee, her style stood out from all the other sales associates that day. I loved her rockabilly headband, vintage tattoos and man-eater pumps. With this level of sass, it’s no wonder Selvi is a Jersey Girl...

“It’s the hard that makes it great.”
– A League of Their Own This little quote has been buzzing in my ear all week. Everytime I look at a map in confusion and want to cry, or wonder why I left my favorite shoes in New York, I hear Tom Hanks telling me that there is “NO crying in baseball”. Sometimes I need a little tough...
